2009-2010 HW Rotary Youth Exchange Program:

The HW Rotary Club is pleased to announce that three (3) Hamilton-Wenham HS students (Outbounds) will participate in the Long-Term Exchange Program during the 2009-2010 school year, one will be heading to Czech Republic, one to Chile and the other to Peru. In addition, two students, will be participating in the short term exchange program of approximately four weeks during the summer of 2009. Both will be heading to Spain. The club has also hosted four (4) students (Inbounds) from various countries including Ecuador, Ukraine and Finland during the course of the last two years. We are looking forward to hosting our newest arrivals this August from Japan and Brazil. With the help of our Youth Exchange team, Hamilton Wenham Regional High School and our wonderful host families, we have been able provide a nurturing and safe environment for our inbound students.

A final thought

The exchange program has been a significant undertaking for the club, and has proven itself to be very successful. If we can continue to manage the paper work, continue to recruit good host families and volunteers, and the students enjoy a positive experience, then we will significantly add to our already long list of community accomplishments.
